About three weeks ago we held our first Chainfrog retreat, at a cottage in the middle of the Finnish forest near Urjala. Five company members traveled in from as far as Cambridge, UK and Kangasala, Pirkanmaa to spend five days reviewing our current strategy, what we’ve achieved so far and where we want to go. We were lucky to have the guidance of Gareth Marlow, from eqsystems, for the first two days of the event.

We managed to mix fun with work, as the CEO of the company proved to the rest that it is possible to eat tasty and exciting food even when restricted to a vegan diet, and the team had several evenings in a candle-lit sauna by a lake – supposedly to unwind, but of course most of the conversation revolved around blockchain and our upcoming product Blockbinder.

We also put together a short video to convince the organizers of Slush to give us a demo booth, which we’ll post up here in a while as a teaser for what we’re planning at the event in the last few days of November.

Despite the moose-flies, the cloudy skies that coincided with predictions for Aurora Borealis activity, and a shortage of “lonkero”, it was a very successful event and I hope we’ll have one every year from now on.

In the meantime – roll on Slush! Hope we get to see some of you there, so make sure you seek out our booth…
